Canadian Stage's annual Festival of Ideas and Creation, held May 9 to 13, brought both theatre artists and theatre fans together to explore and experiment with theatre craft.
"The variety of short, interesting performances took me on a whirlwind tour of theatre in Toronto," reports
Yonge Street's managing photographer Tanja-Tiziana Burdi, "from youth theatre productions, to up-and-coming directorial work and experienced artists putting on all out all-star shows.
The Loyalists, an immersive production that took place outside in the Berkley theatre back area, had audiences walk through a town scene and pulled them in to play parts, helping the characters fold laundry, save lives, etc. It was a brilliant little piece of work and people were talking about it all night."
