Are you a Changemaker for social causes? Do you think you have a socially innovative solution for addressing one of the societal challenges facing Canadians as we approach the nation's 150th anniversary?
We're inviting graduate students who are currently enrolled in a Canadian graduate program to submit a proposal designed to address one of the societal challenges detailed in the special report,
Beyond 150: Collaborating for change. If you have big ideas on how to bring about
Aboriginal advancement,
economic transformation, or
optimism for the future of Canada, we want to hear from you.
Eligible applicants
• Are currently enrolled in a Canadian graduate degree program;
• Possess strong skills in communication, leadership, and innovative thinking;
• Have a demonstrated propensity to be a Changemaker for social causes;
• Have a keen interest in pursuing a career in professional services.
Proposals should be designed with a socially innovative framework, and consider the diverse cultures and points of view of Canadians.
Submissions will be considered based on the applicants understanding of the challenge and social innovation, the scalability and sustainability of the solution, the creativity and originality of the approach, as well as the practicality of a roadmap for implementation.
Finalists will be highlighted in an upcoming edition of Yonge Street, and have the opportunity to present their ideas to a panel of corporate and community leaders who will select the winning proposal.
The winner will be invited to attend the Deloitte Leadership Conference in Toronto, August 2016 (travel included). Additional opportunities may be available depending on the viability of the proposal.
The application deadline is
Monday, November 30th, 2015 and finalists will be notified in January, 2016.
