Over the last few years you may have noticed a few Tibetan restaurants and stores opening along Queen Street West in Parkdale. They're part of the new Little Tibet neighbourhood. Over the last 10 years about 3000 Tibetans have immigrated to Toronto, with just under 2000 settling in the Parkdale area. Yonge Street videographer Darren Alexander lets us meet with the family behind Le Tibet restaurant, see how the traditional momo is made and hear how the neighbourhood has established itself.
Music by Jampa J. Valunbisitsang. Le Tibet, Fine Tibetan Cuisine, can be found at 1526 Queen Street West. Telephone 647-347-9010.
