Toronto is a city on the move and though the automobile is still an important part of that, public transportation is increasingly the focus of nearly all future development as every traffic jam costs the region money. Within the City of Toronto the TTC has recently embarked on its ambitious "Transit City" program that will see a light rail network developed that will reach all corners of the city. From a regional perspective, the provincial Metrolinx agency is working to ensure that people can move into, out of and around both the 416 and 905 with ease.
